  • Definition: Formerly known as Smith Travel Research, is a private American company that provides a clearinghouse where hotels can submit their own operating data (ADR, Occupancy and total rooms) and STR , Inc. then aggregates this information with data from other hotels in the same market and allows participating hotels to compare their key performance indicators (KPIs).
