Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)

  • Definition: Pollution from gases or particles released into the air is the primary cause of indoor air quality problems. Inadequate ventilation can increase indoor pollutant levels by not bringing in enough outdoor air to dilute emissions.
  • Example: Fungi-mold, mildew and dirty HVAC/PTAC filters in guest rooms can all contribute to unhealthy indoor air quality levels.
