Awards Season is Fast Approaching!

As we look to wrap up 2023, it’s a great time for you and your staff to focus on guest satisfaction! Why? In early 2024, the Choice Hotels’ Awards Team will finalize the ranking of all qualifying Choice Hotels via Guest Satisfaction Scores from your Guest Impact Surveys. If that’s not a mouthful, I don’t know what is! Let me break it down a bit: the Awards Team will rank all qualifying hotels using Likelihood to Recommend (LTR) scores for legacy Choice Hotels brands and Net Promoter Scores (NPS) for legacy Radisson brands for 2023 and award the top-ranking hotels with Gold, Platinum, and Ring of Honor designations. We also will be selecting a Best of Choice winner for each qualifying brand. These premier hotels showcase the best of the best, meaning these hotels truly represent outstanding guest satisfaction and the amazing Choice Hotels brands.

Now, be aware that a high Guest Satisfaction Ranking is not the only thing needed to win an award. Each hotel must also pass a thorough compliance review to qualify as an award winner. So, to ensure you and your hotel qualify, ensure you are meeting ALL metrics listed in your Performance Zone Scorecard. Some brands however do not have a Performance Zone Scorecard but are still subject to a “Good Standing” check to confirm that the hotel is meeting all financial and operational requirements.

Award-winning hotels are celebrated at Choice Hotels’ Annual Convention and recognized throughout all of 2024 in various ways. They will receive a commemorative plaque to be hung proudly in the hotel lobby, displaying to all guests that they are a Choice Hotels Award Winner! The best part? Potential guests are driven directly to award-winning hotels via an “Award Winner” tag listed on the search results and on your hotel’s page on ChoiceHotels.com which may result in more revenue. So don’t miss out! Make sure you and your staff are continuing to provide outstanding guest satisfaction and confirm that you and your hotel are meeting all compliance requirements today!
