Have you ever wondered what the “perfect job” would look like? Just ask Christy! After nine years of sharpening facilitation and leadership skills with hotel management companies across the eastern US, she had the privilege to come back to her Choice Hotels roots when she joined Choice University in 2009. This was a change from her first days with Choice Hotels in the late 1990s where she was an opening leader and General Manager of several Manor Care Owned and Operated hotels in North Carolina.

Christy now has the opportunity to collaboratively lead the Certifications, Tailored, and International Learning Initiatives with Choice University by partnering with other learning professionals, subject matter experts, and hoteliers.

Fun Facts

As outdoor enthusiasts, Christy & Brian can usually be found making memories by hiking, kayaking, boating, fishing, hunting, or RV’ing with their very spoiled—and loyal—chocolate labs, Guinness and Deuce.

After over 11 moves in the past 20 years, the Texas Hill Country, surrounded by wildlife and quiet space, is now called home. Here, Christy loves to experiment in the kitchen and is known for having a few too many gadgets and small appliances that were purchased to try new recipes and cooking techniques.

As the oldest of five children, she knows there is nothing better than the craziness of having everyone together, the parents, the siblings, the spouses, the nieces, the nephews, the cousins…

With a passion for traveling, visiting family and friends, making new connections, and creating #MemorableExperiences in both new and familiar places around the world, “planes, trains, and automobiles” is much more than a movie title to Christy!
